The Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers is finally moving everything online. Here are a few updates they recently sent me in response to some of your questions:

Licensure Workshop at Portland State University
When I graduated with my master’s in social work from PSU in 2010, I didn’t have a clue about how to get my clinical license. I also didn’t understand why I even needed a license, and I definitely didn’t know what clinical supervision was. Well, the student has become the master. Or in this case, the clueless has become the master. In theory. This training is open to anyone in Oregon wanting to get their clinical social work license.
May 2020 Clinical Supervision Topic: Unconditional Positive Regard
For may we’re continuing our discussion of the common factors theory and focusing on unconditional positive regard. For our clinical supervision sessions in April, we’re going to create some space to discuss the personal and professional impacts of COVID-19 and also continue our conversations around therapeutic alliance.
