Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers UPDATES

The Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers is finally moving everything online. Here are a few updates they recently sent me in response to some of your questions:

1)      We are not processing requests for temp CSWA, unless there is a direct request from an employer. If so, have the employer contact the board.

2)      The June 8 date is tied to our June 19 board meeting date. We are trying to approve all applications that are received by June 8 at the June 19 meeting. If an application is complete except for fingerprint results or transcripts and those come in before June 30, we will do our best to approve them in late June/early July. If we are still waiting for any part of an application after June 30, it will have to be completed in the new system when it comes online July 15.

3)      Supervision plans that are part of a new application will have to be completed, submitted and approved prior to June 30 to be approved in the current system. Any plans that are not completed by June 30 will have to be submitted in the new system following July 15.

4)      Any current CSWA can go ahead and submit plan changes now. We will accept plan changes as they are received up until the July 15 go live date for the new system. After that date, plan changes will be processed in the online system and CSWAs can call the office for direction.
